PNAMH Mission Statement

We, the nurses of this professional organization, the Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan Houston have joined together as a local chapter of the national organization. the Philippine Nurses Association of America.

We strive to promote unity among Filipino-American nurses in Metropolitan Houston and provide a forum to address issues affecting our nursing practice. We endeavor to network with other professional organizations and agencies to develop and implement educational programs relevant to nursing practice, education and research.

We initiate and actively participate in community activities and services to promote health and prevent diseases.

We collaborate with and support other organizations and agencies both local and national to promote professionalism and facilitate acculturation of Filipino-American nurses.

We strive to support initiatives for the preservation of our cultural heritage while acknowledging and embracing cultural diversity.

We believe that through the joint efforts and cohesiveness of our Executive Board, the working Committees, and all the members, we will plan, strategize and prioritize our activities. We will set realistic goals to implement and achieve our mission.
