Welcome from Riza Mauricio, the President of the Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan Houston. Her term is from January 2010-January 2012.
January 01, 2010
Dear Colleagues,
Happy New Year!
I am honored to serve as your President starting this year, the 30th year of
the Phillippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan Houston (PNAMH).
Let me start by thanking all of you for your continued support for PNAMH. Our chapter is committed to providing our members with the knowledge necessary to provide optimal care for our patients and families. We have talented and hard working executive board members and committee members this year who will continue to organize excellent programs, aimed at furthering the mission and goals of PNAMH. It is through their gift of time and dedication that we will continue to grow as a professional organization.
Your current executive officers met before the start of this term (2010-2011) to discuss our goals and programs. We are committed to working hard so that we do not leave the future of our chapter to chance. We are focused on achieving the mission of PNAMH through our programs, which will be enhanced this year through the use of technology. In addition, we will build our future by developing our emerging leaders. Our community projects will establish sustainable programs that will benefit the underserved Filipino-Americans.
I believe that the key to our success as an organization has been through the collective efforts of our members. I am asking each of you to rise to the challenge of helping us achieve our goals by becoming a volunteer.
With a humble heart, I look forward to serving you.
Sincerely yours,
Riza V. Mauricio, MSN, RN, CCRN, CPNP-PC/AC
